Alexeni Airfield, located in the town with the same name in Ialomita, has behind a history of 60 years, having a 2500 m concrete runway, 1000 m adjacent straps, hangars and administrative spaces.
Currently, the airfield Alexeni administered by the Ministry of Justice (GD 611/29.05.2003) is partially restored and used by REGIONAL AIR SERVICES for use by civil aviation, general aviation operations with aircraft having a maximum weight 7 tons .
REGIONAL AIR SERVICES is in the process of obtaining registration as a civil airfield, by the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority.
On this occasion, Alexeni airfield is open to the public for all air operators.
